Why should I be a Farm Bureau Member?
Advocacy
If we don't speak up for the interests and truth about agriculture...who will? No one knows better what agriculture IS, what agriculture DOES, and what agriculture NEEDS than people who live it daily. People in high places have a voice but don't have a clue...leaving us to promote the facts about American Farming and Ranching. These efforts are lead by our Public Policy Committee.
Benefits
Many discounts and special officers exist at the local, state, and national level for Farm Bureau Members. To see what is offered, visit our Benefits page!
The Kansas Farm Bureau also offers benefits. Go to www.kfb.org to see the state and nationwide benefits.
Community
Farming and ranching is more than a job...it's a lifestyle, and those around us form our community. We share each other's experiences...the joys, the discomforts, the trials and the victories. Involved Farm Bureau members are a close-knit group!
Directors who care The Board of Directors meets each month at the Farm Bureau office to discuss the issues that matter most to residents of Franklin County. Meet the Board!
Education Farm Bureau is dedicated to educating our youth about agriculture, the food supply, and putting a "face to the plate." At the local level, educational programs are offered by the Agricultural Education & Promotion Committee, Learn more!
Food We all love food, right? Farm Bureau works against organizations that want to make drastic changes to the food we eat, what is available, how it is produced, and how much it costs the consumer!
Grant Opportunities Grants are offered by Kansas Farm Bureau to local county Farm Bureaus and FFA chapters to create improved leadership opportunities for our youth!
Healthy Living Franklin County Farm Bureau sponsors a variety of events to improve and insure the health of you and your family, such as the Stroke Detection Programs, held at our local Farm Bureau office.
Insurance Farm Bureau is a name that is often associated with insurance...if you're in need of some, contact our local Farm Bureau Insurance Agents, who have a strong tradition of service in Franklin County!
Joyous Get-togethers Voting members look forward to events like our annual meeting, held each August to conduct business, eat wonderful food, and celebrate the successes of Farm Bureau over the past year.
Knowledge Be on the cutting edge of news in legislation, agriscience, and smart financial practices as a member of Farm Bureau!
